A significant service disruption at Petlibro has left numerous pets without their scheduled meals, as the company's ecosystem of smart devices went offline earlier this week. The outage, which began on Tuesday, has impacted a wide range of hardware, including food dispensers, litter boxes, and water fountains.

Contradictory Reports on Local Functionality

While Petlibro maintains that "existing settings and schedules stored locally on your device will continue to operate as programmed," many pet owners have reported a different experience. According to reports on platforms like Reddit, several users found that their Granary and RFID food dispensers failed to dispense food despite the supposed local backup, creating a critical situation for those away from home.

The issues extended beyond feeding, affecting Dockstream smart fountains and Luma litter boxes, while the companion app also became unresponsive for many users. Petlibro acknowledged the "service issue" on Tuesday, stating that their team was actively restoring service and bringing functionality back in stages.

Status of Restoration

In an update provided on Wednesday afternoon, Petlibro claimed that "much of our service is restored" as they continue to bring the app back into full operation. Despite this, some users continue to report difficulties reconnecting their devices to the Petlibro app, suggesting that the recovery process remains ongoing for a portion of the customer base.
