The Moscow region reported an unusually high toll for an area located hundreds of kilometers from the front lines. Governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed five deaths and six injuries. Although the attack was reportedly repelled, fires broke out in the Navaselki industrial zone, specifically affecting storage facilities. Authorities attributed the fatalities to fires and falling drone debris.
Impact on Infrastructure and Logistics
In the border region of Belgorod, one person was killed when a drone struck a vehicle. Additionally, in the Leningrad region, a strike caused a fire at a warehouse belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest e-commerce platform. Ukraine has recently intensified long-range operations aimed at disrupting Moscow’s supply chains and production capabilities.
Russian Retaliation and Civilian Toll in Ukraine
Moscow claimed to have struck four cargo ships in the Ukrainian ports of Mykolaiv, Pivdennyi, and Odesa, alleging they were transporting military equipment. Meanwhile, in Ukraine’s Sumy region, a Russian air strike involving guided bombs killed three people, including two girls aged 5 and 10. In Kherson, a night attack left a nurse and another civilian injured.
