Moscow was the target of a massive and unusually large-scale drone attack overnight, involving 600 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The operation represents a significant intensification of Kyiv's strategy to carry out strikes deep within Russian territory.

Casualties and Defense Response

According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the wave of drones resulted in at least three injuries. Russian defense systems were active throughout the night to counter the aerial assault.

  • A total of 600 drones were identified heading toward the capital.
  • 201 drones were successfully shot down in the immediate vicinity of the city.

Strategic Infrastructure Targets

The recent surge in Ukrainian drone activity has increasingly focused on critical infrastructure. Beyond military objectives, these strikes are reportedly targeting energy facilities and e-commerce infrastructure.
