Google has announced the integration of new artificial intelligence and agentic experiences across Google Ads and Google Analytics. These updates aim to simplify data management and expedite the path to business growth by turning complex data into actionable insights.

Faster Insights via AI Overviews

Google Analytics now features "AI Overviews" at the top of the homepage, providing instant summaries of significant performance shifts since the user’s last login. These summaries cover everything from seasonal sales peaks to traffic fluctuations, helping analysts understand current trends and recommended actions. Users can also opt into mobile or email notifications for these smart summaries.

Similarly, the Google Ads homepage has been revamped to surface personalized AI-powered insight cards. Marketers can use a prompt box to generate custom insights regarding competitor impact or trends affecting their specific campaigns.

Visual Reporting and Ask Advisor

A key addition is "Ask Advisor," an in-product AI agent powered by Gemini. This tool allows marketers to move from insight to action by asking questions directly within the platform. New Dashboard features in Google Ads (and coming soon to Analytics) enable the transformation of raw data into clear visual reports using simple text prompts. Each report includes an automatically generated summary explaining the "why" behind the data trends.

Benchmarking Against Peers

Google Analytics is also introducing a benchmarking feature. This allows businesses to compare their campaign performance against anonymized averages from similar businesses. This feature is designed to help marketers identify growth opportunities and refine their strategies with greater confidence.

"Ask Advisor has become my go-to for a directional check on paid media performance… That speed matters because it gives me time to dig deeper and make shifts that improve performance sooner."
— Kevin Marshall, Paid Media Director at Gardyn

These new solutions are currently available in beta for English language accounts.
