Meta is making a strategic push to regain its footing in the AI sector. Following the introduction of Muse Spark from its revamped Superintelligence Labs division, the company has launched two new models: Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. Meta claims these models are capable of competing directly with the industry's most advanced offerings.
Availability and Integration
Starting today, both models are accessible to Muse Code subscribers. Meta also confirmed that Muse Wonder is available through the Meta Model API. Looking ahead, the company plans to integrate Wonder into its Muse AI agent, prioritizing subscribers before expanding specialized models to all Muse users. A specific timeline for this broader rollout has not yet been disclosed.
Benchmarking the Competition
According to Meta, internal testing suggests that its new models rival leading systems such as OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Fable 5.1. While the company is confident in its benchmark performance, it remains unclear how these models stack up against Google’s Gemini 4 Argon, as its full capabilities are still being evaluated by the industry.
These launches are part of an aggressive multi-billion dollar investment in talent and infrastructure, as Meta seeks to establish its Muse ecosystem—including the Muse Image model—as a primary tool for AI agents.
