Welcome to the 'hall of mirrors,' as Kevin Warsh so eloquently puts it. The new Fed Chair wants to abandon forward guidance for the 'North Star' of AI-driven productivity. How convenient. While the elites in Jackson Hole celebrate AI as a 'new factor of production,' the reality on the ground looks less like a Greek temple and more like a digital sweatshop.

Have you heard of the 'validation-deployment gap'? It is the latest technical mirage. Companies audit their AI 'at the source' and tell us it is safe. But when they compress those models to fit onto edge devices—a process called Post-training quantization—the mask slips. Research shows that a 'safe' model can suddenly harbor an 85% corruption rate in friend-foe identification. We are being governed by machines that are validated in the lab but behave like entirely different, compromised entities in the field. It is a technical backdoor for bias and insecurity, sold to us as 'optimization.'

And here in Greece, our corporate 'leaders' have found a way to use this confusion to their advantage. They call it 'digital Taylorism.' By labeling complex real-time KPI trackers as 'low-risk routine IT upgrades,' they bypass mandatory Data Protection Impact Assessments. They are effectively shredding Presidential Decree 240/2006, avoiding the 'nuisance' of consulting employees about structural changes. They trade transparency for operational opacity, hiding behind the 'black box' of algorithmic management.

We see the same pattern in geopolitics. A President posts an AI-generated video of Kharg Island 'becoming rubble' while the world scrambles to figure out if oil markets are about to collapse. Is it a strike? Is it a hallucination? Does it matter in a world where the image is the only reality that counts? From the Fed to the Greek boardroom, AI is being used as a veil for deregulation and a tool for control. We are not entering a new era of productivity; we are entering a new era of unaccountability.

Will you continue to stare into the hall of mirrors, or will you demand to see the final state of the machine before it manages your life?
