Academic Journey and Education

Born in Athens in 1952, Zacharopoulos initially studied music at the Athens Conservatory before moving to France to pursue philology, aesthetics, and the sociology of art. His academic career was illustrious, featuring teaching positions at leading institutions such as the Geneva School of Art and Design, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna—where he was elected Emeritus Professor—and the University of the Aegean in Mytilene.
